Yoga One's Bitsy LaFayette is leading Yoga On Tap October 18th!
Get to know Bitsy...
Since stumbling into a yoga class at a gym in Arkansas about 15 years ago, yoga has taken Bitsy all over the world. She eventually felt compelled to share as well as practice, so she completed her initial 200 hr training in 2011 with YogaOne in Charlotte, studied and traveled for many years with Lauren Toolin (ParaYoga) and Rod Stryker, completed her Prenatal certificate with Amani Murray Jackson, plus recently completed both Level 1 and 2 of her pending Baptiste certification (an additional 200 hrs).
Bitsy currently teaches at YogaOne, in addition to privates (both SUP and regular). She formerly taught at Your Karma, Moga, and StandUp Paddleboard (SUP) yoga at USNWC, having created the original SUP yoga program there in 2013 which they’ve recently re-started again.
“My favorite things about yoga keep me coming back to the And. By “And”, I mean as in where the science AND the voodoo meet. The strong AND the soft. The big loud yoga (Baptiste) AND the subtle finer bits (ParaYoga). Once I started looking for the And in places instead of always assuming it’s an Or… whoa. The science is real, and the voodoo that comes from doing the practice? That's the real elixir. My goal in a class is to help guide you to move your body in a way that brings you just a bit closer to finding your own taste of elixir. Come find your AND.”
Bitsy has called Charlotte home for the past 11 years, and most days you can find her teaching, practicing, laughing, hammocking, reading something wonderfully geeky, or chasing her toddler and fur-baby.
